All the internal lights are controlled by the general module.

Gif. I have set the brightness via the idrive but the lighting is about as bright as a village didn't think the ambient lighting could be coded to be brighter. I've always wondered about my ambient lighting in my car as it doesn't get very bright, it's very dim even at the highest brightness setting.

Yes the 2013 does have interior lighting. This is the original bmw ambient lights using all bmw parts and not aftermarket leds etc, the reason i went the oem way is ive been. Every bmw 5 series has a comfortable and supportive driver's seat, with electric seat height and backrest angle adjustment as standard along with electrically adjustable lumbar support.

Yes the 2013 does have interior lighting. I think its a standard option, doesn't seem to come with any package. 2020 bmw 520i at night start up with ambient lighting demo. Adaptive brake lights (light brighter when you brake harder) all the usual goodies that come with modern bmw cars.
